Destination Systems is a year-round, full-service, ground transportation company dedicated to providing safe, prompt, and professional service. We provide daily scheduled local charter service at Telluride Express and operate 365 days per year.

Job Summary:

Destination Systems is a year-round, full-service ground transportation company dedicated to providing safe, prompt, and professional service operating 24/7/365 days per year. We provide daily scheduled, shared-ride shuttles to/from the airport, rideshare, or private vehicle services. Destination Systems also operates local and charter services to any destination and provides all wedding and special event transportation needs.

Duties include carrying out functions pertaining to the safe, courteous, and efficient operation of assigned vehicles. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Employing defensive driving techniques
• Maintaining professional courtesy
• Making public address announcements
• Properly answering questions and solving concerns of passengers
• Exercising prudent judgment under a variety of constantly changing operating conditions.

This is a safety-sensitive position subject to the rules and regulations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport passengers to and from predetermined locations.
• Perform a Vehicle Inspection Report on each vehicle to ensure the vehicle is safe to drive.
• Document any safety defects through Samsara and report to Dispatch.
• Report accidents or other traffic disruptions to Dispatch.
• Obey all traffic rules and regulations guiding the operation of transportation services.
• Adhere to the Hours-of-Service rules.
• Maintain appropriate communication with and follow directions from Dispatch.
• Keep the vehicle neat and clean, and wash the vehicle after each shift.
• Dress in a neat and professional manner in accordance with the company dress code.
• Commit to scheduled shifts, with flexibility in mind for weekends and special events.
• Hours include weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Assist disabled passengers when requested.
• Occasional overnight travel.
• Complete pre/post trips as required

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent driving skills and good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Receive a negative pre-employment, controlled-substances test result.
• Qualify for a fingerprint-based criminal history record check.
• Become physically qualified by obtaining a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Must be able and willing to sit for extended periods of time.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• High School diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent.
• At least 23 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license with 10 or fewer points on Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must have Passenger Endorsement
• Minimum of 2 years of proven commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience driving in all weather conditions in mountainous regions is preferred.

Compensation:

• Wage: $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Work Schedule:

Full-time and part-time positions available.

Shifts include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
