CDL Rear load driver

Job Overview
As a Rear Load Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. You will be responsible for operating a rear load trash and recycling truck. This will include driving from home to home to collect trash and recycling at the curb. The driver will at times have to assist on putting the trash and recycling in the truck. Responsibilities

• Operate rear load trucks, ensuring safe transport of goods to assigned locations.
• Safely empty the rear load truck at the disposal site.
• Plan and follow designated routes to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with traffic laws.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of pickups, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to address any pickup issues or changes in routes.
• Provide excellent customer service during interactions at pickup sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a trash and recycling driver with a strong background in commercial driving.
• Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and local traffic regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customers.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.32 - $34.50 per hour

Experience:

• Working in the waste management industry. : 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL B (Required)
