CDL Trash Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Trash Truck Driver to join our dynamic waste management team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of heavy-duty trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers, to efficiently collect and transport waste materials. Your expertise in commercial driving combined with mechanical knowledge will ensure safe, timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Duties

• Safely operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to collect waste from designated locations.
• Load and unload waste materials with precision using manual handling techniques and specialized truck mechanisms.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily routes, pickups, drop-offs, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, safety concerns, or operational issues.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed during waste collection activities while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist in routine mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs if qualified, leveraging mechanical knowledge to ensure minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Proven experience operating front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers in a commercial setting.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during waste collection processes.
• Mechanical knowledge of truck systems for basic troubleshooting and maintenance awareness.
• Prior delivery driver experience preferred; excellent navigation skills are essential.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and waste management regulations.
• Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and physically demanding tasks involved in waste collection.
