CDL Tri-axle driver

About the Role:

Specific Responsibilities1. Heavy Equipment Transport & Loading

• Load & Unload: Drive and maneuver critical paving equipment—including pavers, rollers, and skid steers—onto trailers for transport.
• Secure Loads: Use Grade 70 transport chains and ratchet binders to secure machinery and all attachments (blades, augers, etc.) at four or more designated anchor points.
• Weight Management: Ensure proper weight distribution over trailer axles to prevent swaying and maintain safe towing.

2. Asphalt Plant & Material Hauling

• Plant Pickups: Travel to various asphalt plants to pick up hot mix asphalt.
• Material Integrity: Inspect truck beds for cleanliness, apply approved release agents, and secure waterproof tarps to maintain precise material temperatures during transit.
• Paver Feeding: Back into the paving machine with precision to unload directly into the paver hopper or material transfer vehicle (MTV) without bumping the equipment.

3. Site & Fleet Maintenance

• Rig Maintenance: Conduct rigorous daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your
• Crew Assistance: Support the paving foreman and crew on-site with basic tasks between loads to keep the project on schedule.

Nice to Have (but not required):

• Experience hauling heavy equipment
• Familiarity with milling or paving operations

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
