CDL Truck Driver

Job Summary

Horizon West Landscape is a leading commercial landscape and irrigation installation company. We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This role is focused on transporting landscape materials and moving large equipment between vendors and job sites. The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the freight throughout the transportation process. Year-round, steady commercial work.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL trucks (flatbeds and trailers) to pick up and deliver landscape materials (mulch, sod, rock, irrigation supplies, etc.) from vendors to job sites.
• Safely transport and move large landscape equipment (tractors, skid steers, trailers, etc.).
• Load, unload, and secure all materials and equipment in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage, and inspection records.
• Communicate effectively with purchasing manager and site managers regarding delivery status.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles preferred.
• Previous CDL driving experience (landscape, construction, or equipment hauling strongly preferred).
• Ability to operate forklifts or assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
