We are hiring an experienced and creative Chef de Partie – Pastry & Bakery for a reputed fine-dining restaurant in Oman. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in pastry and bakery preparation, attention to detail, and a passion for creating high-quality desserts and baked products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all pastry and bakery products.
- Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and new dessert creation.
- Maintain proper storage and rotation of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Supervise and train Commis Pastry/Bakery staff within the section.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and consistency to ensure perfect results.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining precision and quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Pastry/Bakery CDP in a fine-dining restaurant, hotel, or bakery.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dough preparation, baking, and dessert plating.
- Culinary or Pastry diploma/certification preferred.
- Creativity and innovation in dessert design and presentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
