Cemetery Groundskeeper

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and respectful Cemetery Groundskeeper to help maintain the beauty, cleanliness, and tranquility of our grounds. This role is essential in ensuring that visitors experience a well-kept environment where they can honor and remember loved ones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cemetery lawns, gardens, and landscaping (mowing, trimming, planting, watering)
• Prepare gravesites for burials, including digging and site setup
• Assist during burial services with professionalism and respect
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools
• Assists with repairs and maintains equipment, buildings and fixtures
• Other duties as requested by the Kelseyville Cemetery District Board or District Superintendent
• Qualifications:
• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience preferred
• Ability to operate lawn care and light machinery safely
• Physically able to lift, bend, dig, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and respect for sensitive environments
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Work Environment: This position involves working outdoors in a quiet, respectful setting. The role requires professionalism, discretion, and compassion when interacting with visitors and during services.

Pay: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
