Position Overview

The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center (NEYAC) is seeking a Center Manager to lead staff, oversee facility operations, and strengthen community engagement at one of the premier archery facilities in the world.

This is a hands-on leadership role with active involvement in daily operations, event execution, and program management. You will directly engage with the Yankton community and local partners while working alongside staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

A. Leadership, Staff Development & Facility Resources

· Lead, mentor, and support full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff, ensuring clear expectations, accountability, and professional growth.

· Manage staffing schedules and assignments to support daily operations, programs, and events.

· Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance development for facility staff.

· Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings to align priorities and improve operational efficiency.

· Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional workplace culture.

· Assist in developing staff training materials, operating procedures, and onboarding resources.

· Manage and allocate facility resources, equipment, and space to maximize efficiency and guest experience.

B. Marketing, Outreach & Community Engagement

· Actively represent NEYAC within the Yankton community and region by building strong relationships with local organizations, schools, boards, nonprofits, and partners.

· Oversee marketing initiatives that promote NEYAC programs, events, and facility offerings at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

· Collaborate with staff to develop new programs and community-driven initiatives that increase participation and visibility.

· Support coordinated messaging and outreach efforts in collaboration with staff responsible for marketing and communications.

C. Facility & Program Management

· Manage day-to-day operations of the NEYAC facility, including scheduling programs, rentals, open shooting hours, and special use.

· Coordinate use of facility spaces for archery, air rifle, and other recreational activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality experiences.

· Support the development and management of new programs, clinics, and partnerships that expand recreational and educational offerings.

· Ensure the facility remains safe, organized, clean, and well-maintained for participants, visitors, and event guests.

D. Grants, Funding & Partnerships

· Assist in identifying grant opportunities and funding sources that support NEYAC programs, outreach, and facility initiatives.

· Support the management and reporting of existing grants and funded partnerships.

· Collaborate with leadership and partners to strengthen long-term relationships with sponsors, donors, and funding organizations.

· Help track deliverables and compliance requirements tied to grants and partnerships.

E. Event Oversight & Support

· Provide oversight and guidance to the Community Events Coordinator for:

o Community and nonprofit facility rentals

o Recreational and shooting sport events

· Support event recruitment and scheduling while ensuring events align with facility capacity and priorities.

· Work with staff to ensure consistent, high-quality experiences for event participants and partners.

· Assist in evaluating and refining event concepts that promote archery and community engagement.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, recreation management, or related field preferred.

· Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred in event or project management and staff leadership roles.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build community relationships and represent NEYAC professionally.

· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficient with technology, operating software, and Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc.).

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

· Energetic, approachable, and passionate about engaging with people.

· Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and occasional travel for events.

· Physically able to perform event-related tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
