Qualifications:
1. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Must be 18 years of age.
3. Must secure acceptable criminal records check and satisfactorily complete a drug screening.
4. Knowledge of basic computer skills and basic equipment operations.
Skills:
1. Ability to use correct grammar, verbally, and written, in communication with adults as well as young children.
2. Ability to accept supervision and to follow directions with minimum instructions.
3. Ability to be tolerant and flexible.
4. Ability to read and comprehend the English language.
5. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing work environments.
Responsibilities:
1. Works cooperatively with the center director and all staff members.
2. Serve as classroom floater as needed.
3. Reads and interprets lesson plans, cleaning schedules and menus.
4. Carries out tasks as required while in a classroom setting.
5. Serves as aa model for children, parents, staff and community people.
6. Ensures staff to child ratio is met at all times when in the classroom.
7. Assists in supporting the social and emotional development of children.
8. Assist with the cleanliness/maintenance of facilities/equipment, thereby ensuring a safe, healthy learning environment.
9. Assists with administrative and clerical duties as assigned by the center director
10. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to the agency technology policy.
11. Participates in pre-service/in-service training, securing 15 hours of training per year.
12. Obtains and maintains 1st Aid/CPR.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
