Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cerner Millennium CCL & Data Transformation Lead to support large-scale EHR data migration, reporting, and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cerner Millennium environments, Cerner Command Language (CCL), Oracle databases, and healthcare data workflows.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, healthcare domain knowledge, and strong collaboration skills to support clinical data extraction, reporting, ETL development, and system integration efforts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document clinical and operational workflows across healthcare environments
• Translate business and clinical requirements into technical specifications
• Design, develop, test, and optimize Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts
• Perform complex data extraction, validation, and reconciliation from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas
• Support EHR migration, legacy system retirement, and enterprise reporting initiatives
• Develop and maintain ETL processes, structured data feeds, and flat-file extracts
• Troubleshoot CCL performance issues and downstream integration/reporting challenges
• Collaborate with clinical, informatics, and technical teams to ensure accurate implementation
• Execute and tune CCL scripts in production and non-production environments
• Communicate technical constraints and data limitations to stakeholders

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Cerner Millennium environments
• Advanced hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL)
• Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and Linux
• Experience supporting healthcare/EHR implementations or migration projects
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows
• Experience with ETL processes and enterprise data extraction
• Familiarity with healthcare reporting and data integration environments
• Experience with REST/SOA integrations
• Knowledge of distributed systems and performance tuning
• Experience with system integration and code development
• Working knowledge of Java, Python, Perl, C, C++, or OCI is a plus
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI) preferred

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Cerner consultant or technical lead
• Experience supporting large-scale EHR modernization initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
