Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours during school day
Compensation: Competitive hourly or daily rate (based on experience)

About the Role

A Yancy Life Transition Center is seeking a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) or Autism Certificate (AC) holder to provide school-based autism-support services for students identified by the district as having Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is a non-clinical, non-diagnostic role focused on educational and social-emotional support, staff coaching, and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide autism-informed support strategies in school settings
• Consult with instructional staff on classroom accommodations and engagement
• Support individualized student strategies aligned to academic and SEL goals
• Train and coach Yancy staff on autism-responsive practices
• Collaborate with campus administrators and special education teams
• Prepare brief documentation and progress summaries as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) credential or Autism Certificate (AC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting students with ASD in K–12 settings
• Experience working in public schools or similar educational environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Important Notes

• This role does not include diagnosis or clinical therapy
• Services are educationally aligned and school-based

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $32.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week

Education:

• Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

• Supporting students with ASD in K–12 settings: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Autism Specialist credential or Autism Certificate (Required)
