Certified Caregiver/ Med Tech (Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)

Visions Assisted Living at Apache Junction is looking for compassionate, fun, energetic individuals to join our caregiving team! We looking to hire Caregivers/Med Tech for all shifts. Part-time and full-time opportunity are available.

Responsibilities:

Our Caregivers are responsible for caring for our elderly residents, assisting them in all daily living (ADLs), documenting and notifying RCC and nurse of any changes or concerns in our residents' condition, as well as all duties given them as assigned by the Administrator or RCC.

Caregivers provide support in personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility, along with emotional support and companionship. They play a vital role in creating a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Their responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with transfers (such as from bed to wheelchair).
• Prevent falls.
• Ensure safe movement within and outside the home.
• Remind residents to take their medications or, in some cases, assist them with medication administration.
• Assisting residents with their meals such as eat or bringing their meals to them while taking into account dietary restrictions and ensuring a balanced and nutritious diet.
• Offer a listening ear, sometimes engage in social activities with residents, and provide emotional support to alleviate feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Requirements:

• Possess a valid/ current Arizona Caregiver certificate
• Basic computer skills
• Self-Starter and able to work independently
• Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
• High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
• Good communication skills, such as being able to communicate effectively with residents, staff, family members, and professionals. Including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
• Possess a love for the elderly
• Have a positive and compassionate attitude
• Know how to Create Fun, Smile, and Laughter

Pay rate will vary and depends on work attitude and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
