Certified CART Provider (Remote & On-Site Opportunities)

Karasch.com is seeking experienced and certified CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) providers to deliver real-time captioning services for academic, corporate, medical, and public sector clients. We are committed to accessibility and high-quality communication support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.

Position Summary:
The CART Provider will deliver accurate, real-time transcription services during live sessions, including classroom instruction, meetings, conferences, trainings, and other events. This role requires strong listening skills, advanced stenography proficiency, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time captioning services in live academic, business, medical, or legal settings
• Maintain high accuracy rates in transcription
• Set up and test equipment prior to sessions
• Coordinate with clients and participants to ensure seamless communication access
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all content
• Submit session documentation and billing information accurately and timely

Qualifications:

• National certification (CRR, CRC, RPR, or equivalent preferred)
• Proven experience providing CART services in classroom or professional settings
• High-speed stenography proficiency (225+ WPM preferred)
• Strong command of English grammar and punctuation
• Professional demeanor and reliability
• Ability to work independently
• Familiarity with remote platforms (Zoom, Teams, WebEx)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in higher education settings
• Experience with technical, medical, or legal terminology
• Availability for daytime weekday assignments

Work Schedule:
Flexible; assignments may be scheduled during standard business hours. Part-time and contract opportunities available.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates based on certification and experience.
Typical range: $60–$90 per hour (varies by assignment and expertise level).

Location:
Remote and/or on-site opportunities available depending on client needs.
