Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Perdiem Patient Care Technician to join our Dialysis Healthcare Team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients and healthcare professionals , supporting the unite in achieving quality, patient satisfaction, and teamwork. You will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of patients while assisting with their daily needs.
Duties
- Assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care in a teaching Dialysis environment.
- Maintaining pod/station clean and trash removal.
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living.
- Setup dialysis machine and equipment safety check.
- Taking vitals
- Water treatment room
- Engage with patients and monitor patients during treatment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans for patients.
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and communication purposes.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills in behavioral health and other specialized areas.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician.
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques is essential.
- Experience working in hospital settings, and outpatient center dialysis.
- Knowledge of behavioral health support strategies is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
