We are seeking an experienced, qualified CCMA to promote and restore patients’ health. This position requires a high level of engagement and responsibility with patients and providers. You will work directly with a provider to give direct support to the provider and patient care. Primary duties would be obtaining prior authorizations for prescriptions, DME, and procedures. Additional duties include working directly with patients, calling back patient labs, administering injections, submitting lab orders, submitting referrals, scheduling patients, working the front desk, and providing other clinical support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Identify patients’ care requirements, focus on their needs, and act on them
- Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
- Resolve or report on patients’ needs or problems
- Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, provide drugs and injections, etc)
- Monitor and record the patient’s condition and document provided care services
- Treat medical emergencies
- Administer workloads
- Follow care regulations and standards
- Work within and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team
- Obtain Prior Authorizations as needed
- Support clinical staff with tasks
- Train to be certified to collect DOT Drug Screenings
Skills
