Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
• Support clinical procedures across various specialties, including dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and emergency medicine, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment for procedures like X-ray imaging or medication administration.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient information, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and treatment details.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, offering reassurance, and facilitating smooth patient flow during outpatient and inpatient visits.
• Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and processing referrals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist in patient assessments and understand complex medical terminology.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 18 years of age
• Photo ID
• Access to Internet and Digital Device
• Negative TB Skin Test prior to lab & externship
• No Criminal Background History
