We’re currently seeking a dedicated Certified Coder  to join our Medical Records Department at our Crestline l ocation.

Position Overview

Accountable for conversion of diagnoses and treatment procedures into codes using an international classification of diseases. Requires skill in the sequencing of diagnoses and procedures to optimize reimbursement. Ensures that records are coded in an accurate and timely manner. Holds appropriate AHIMA certification. Reports to Coding Manager.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school graduate or equivalent.


• RHIT or CCS coding certification.


• Minimum of 2 years of hospital coding experience.


• ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding knowledge.


• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
