Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Time Keeper that is bilingual in english and spanish to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee accurate tracking of construction project hours, ensuring precise payroll processing and compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. Your expertise will help streamline project accounting, support payroll management, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our construction operations. Responsibilities
- Maintain meticulous records of work hours, project time entries, and labor costs using industry-standard software such as Workday, Kronos, UltiPro, or equivalent systems.
- Verify and reconcile timekeeping data against project schedules, budgets, and contractual agreements to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers and HR teams to resolve discrepancies in time entries and payroll data efficiently.
- Prepare detailed reports on labor hours, overtime, and project costs for management review and audit purposes.
- Support payroll processing by providing accurate data entry for payroll management systems like Paychex or ADP.
- Assist in the administration of benefits related to construction projects and ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of timekeeping records, perform account reconciliation, and maintain compliance with non-profit or governmental accounting standards when applicable.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with payroll management software such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, or Kronos.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits, journal entries, and financial concepts.
- Familiarity with construction-specific accounting practices including project cost tracking and non-profit or governmental accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy; 10 key typing proficiency is essential.
- Ability to analyze financial data critically and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of benefits administration processes related to construction projects is advantageous. Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
