As we continue to expand, we are seeking experienced and professional Court Reporters to join our team as 1099 independent contractors. This is a flexible, contract-based opportunity ideal for reporters looking to work on their own terms.

*Please note: This is a 1099 independent contractor position. As a freelancer, you will be responsible for your own taxes, equipment, and business-related expenses.

We Are Hiring:

• Stenographers
• Realtime Reporters
• Digital Court Reporters

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend and record legal proceedings including:
• Depositions (in-person and remote)
• Hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations
• Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and Independent Medical Exams (IMEs)
• Transcription sessions via videoconference
• Accurately capture and transcribe verbatim records
• Interpret legal and medical terminology as needed
• Prepare professionally formatted transcripts
• Maintain organized notes and accurate records
• Submit final transcripts and documentation within deadlines

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of professional court reporting experience (required)
• Strong command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Familiarity with legal and medical terminology
• Typing speed of 50+ WPM; dictation speed of 225+ WPM
• Experience with transcript formatting and delivery standards
• Technically proficient and self-reliant
• Able to work independently in high-pressure legal environments

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $100.00 per hour
