Certified Dental Assistant

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant, you will be a key part of our clinical team, supporting our dentists and ensuring efficient, comfortable, and high-quality care for every patient. The ideal candidate is confident in chairside assisting, experienced with four-handed dentistry, and attentive to maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, sterilization, and infection control protocols
  • Experience with Open Dental, digital charting, and intraoral scanning preferred
  • Skilled in temporary crown fabrication and assisting across multiple dental specialties
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented attitude
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, friendly, and dedicated to providing outstanding patient care

Experience with Open Dental software, intraoral scanners, 3D imaging, temporary crown fabrication, and cord packing is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance during dental exams and procedures using four-handed dentistry
  • Prepare, disinfect, and maintain operatories in compliance with OSHA and infection control standards
  • Take, process, and mount dental X-rays according to safety guidelines
  • Assist with procedures in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
  • Record vital signs, review medical histories, and help patients feel comfortable before treatment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care
  • Accurately update and manage patient records using Open Dental software
  • Operate intraoral scanners and support digital dentistry workflows (3D imaging experience a plus)
  • Fabricate temporary crowns and assist with cord packing for impressions
  • Monitor, restock, and assist with ordering dental supplies and inventory
  • Ensure all patient interactions and documentation comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with patients; bilingual skills are highly valued

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
