Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists with a wide range of dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Take high-quality X-rays and operate digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools
- Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to enhance understanding and comfort
- Monitor and assess patient readiness before procedures to ensure safety and optimal care delivery
- Support administrative tasks such as dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation efficiently
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation
- Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices
- Skilled in taking X-rays, operating 3D scanners, and performing chairside assisting during diverse dental procedures including endodontics and prosthodontics
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when needed
- Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program is required; additional certifications in radiography or specialized areas are a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and experience maintaining accurate medical records

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
