Certified Dental Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Pearly White Dental Spa is a small, patient-focused dental practice built on calm, consistency, and quality care. We are intentional about maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and team members know exactly what is expected.

We are seeking a Certified Dental Assistant / Office Support Team Member whose primary focus is chairside dental assisting and maintaining daily office cleanliness and readiness.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in both clinical support and keeping a space clean, orderly, and prepared. As a small and growing practice, responsibilities are shared, and consistency matters.

Primary Responsibilities: Dental Assisting & Patient Support

• Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
• Help patients feel at ease through calm, professional communication
• Prepare, break down, and reset operatories according to established standards
• Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols
• Take dental radiographs (if certified)
• Assist with instrument sterilization and tracking

Operatory & Office Cleanliness

Maintaining a clean, professional environment is a core responsibility of this role:

• Break down and set up dental operatories between patients
• Clean and restock operatories following established protocols
• Clean and restock bathrooms daily
• Vacuum and mop floors as scheduled
• Take out trash and replace liners
• Wipe down surfaces and maintain a tidy, spa-like environment

These tasks are essential to patient safety, comfort, and overall quality of care.

Daily Office Readiness

• Complete opening and closing procedures using established checklists
• Ensure rooms, supplies, and equipment are ready for patient care
• Restock clinical and general supplies as needed
• Communicate equipment or supply issues promptly
• Support smooth patient flow throughout the day

Team & Practice Support

• Communicate clearly with the dentist and team throughout the day
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities without constant reminders
• Follow established systems and checklists consistently
• Contribute to a respectful, calm, and dependable workplace
• Assist with light front office tasks when needed

Required Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Florida EFDA preferred
• Current radiography certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work in a hands-on clinical environment
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, light lifting, bending, and routine physical activity throughout the day, including cleaning tasks.
