Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified ESE (Exceptional Student Education) Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges. Duties

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles across subjects such as literacy education, math, and life skills.
  • Utilize evidence-based behavioral therapy and behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and social skills.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other specialists to support comprehensive student development.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management strategies, fostering a safe and nurturing space for learning.
  • Provide tutoring, mentoring, and additional support for students with autism, disabilities, or those requiring early intervention services.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral reports, and communication logs to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, deaf education, Montessori methods, or preschool experience to enhance teaching practices.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as an ESE Teacher or equivalent credential recognized by the state or relevant authority.
  • Proven classroom experience working with students with disabilities or developmental delays in a special education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education strategies, and literacy education techniques.
  • Experience developing lesson plans that incorporate curriculum standards across multiple subjects including math and library services.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health practices, behavioral therapy techniques, IEP processes, and working with individuals with autism or other disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, therapists, and students’ families.
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering an inclusive environment for diverse learners.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods tailored for children with special needs.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
