Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, perform detailed patient assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans to promote optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a diverse patient population across various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and post-acute care environments. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and detailed patient histories to accurately evaluate health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication administration, injections, IV infusions, and wound suturing when necessary.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine.
  • Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, sonography, and basic medical imaging procedures.
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to quality care for remote or underserved populations.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with valid state licensure.
  • Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in medical documentation standards such as CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems.
  • Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluation across diverse age groups including children and seniors.
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for seamless documentation and patient record management.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice environments.
  • Background in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in performing procedures including suturing, catheterization, venipuncture, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes.
  • Familiarity with specialized areas such as gastrology, neurocritical care (PICU), dialysis management, hospice & palliative medicine, trauma response, and behavioral health is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching topics like nutrition and medication adherence. Pay: $126,300.37 - $152,103.67 per year
