As a Certified Home Health Aide, you will:

• Build meaningful relationships with your patient.
• Provide attention to the patient’s non-medical needs, including companionship and social engagement, in a warm, empathetic manner
• Provide personal care to your patient (bathing, dressing, transfers, toileting, etc.) as needed
• Assist your patient with light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, linen changes, and medication reminders, as needed
• Supervise your patient to ensure their safety
• Establish communication and a professional relationship with your patient, their family members, and co-workers
• Provide reliable care by being punctual and consistently covering shifts
• Follow the care plan, as provided by the Director of Nursing, and documenting and communicating any observed changes.

Requirements:

• NJ CHHA license or currently in the process of acquiring
• Medical documents: physical exam, current Tuberculosis (TB) test, MMR results, etc.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• 2 forms of ID: Driver’s License, Social Security card, etc.
• 1-2 work references
• Must be compassionate, reliable, flexible, and a team player
• Must adhere to HIPPA and maintain patient confidentiality
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience caring for seniors or adults
• Must have car
