Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview:

Northeast Allergy, Asthma and Immunology has 6 medical offices in Massachusetts. We work together as a team to care for both pediatric and adult patients with a variety of allergy and immunology related conditions.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate medical assistant to work at our Leominster office.

Duties:

- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs and performing various forms of allergy testing

- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers

- Utilize electronic medical record systems to document patient information accurately

- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies

- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and handling insurance related tasks

- Educate patients on proper medication usage, allergen avoidance and other healthcare instructions

Skills and Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred

- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is highly desirable

- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

- Competence in performing vital signs measurements and basic medical procedures

- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems to maintain accurate patient records

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle administrative tasks effectively
