Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist healthcare providers in an urgent care/family practice setting. Your expertise in medical procedures, administrative support, and patient service will ensure smooth clinic workflows and positive patient experiences.

Hours
Our clinic will be open 7 days a week excluding holidays. Some weekend rotations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision
• Support physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Operate and maintain EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters and ICD coding for diagnoses
• Prepare patients for X-ray imaging or other diagnostic tests as needed
• Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure proper sterilization of equipment in accordance with safety standards
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
• Support administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and data entry.

Experience

• Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program is highly preferred
• Prior experience in urgent care or outpatient clinics highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems and ICD coding practices essential for accurate documentation
• Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology and medication administration protocols
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings that require multitasking skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
