Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in delivering high-quality care, enhancing the patient experience, and supporting our healthcare providers in the delivery of men's health medical care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong digital proficiency and a high level of comfort working within a Windows computing environment. You will be responsible for managing complex provider schedules and detailed patient communications using Microsoft Outlook for email and calendaring. Additionally, you should be adept at utilizing Microsoft Word for professional correspondence and navigating cloud-based software systems to maintain accurate electronic health records.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Managing opening and closing clinical procedures that support the maintenance of our serene and professional office environment.
  • Scheduling patient appointments (both with our providers and other outside specialists), managing patient records, and handling patient communications via phone, email, text and secure messaging.
  • Comfortably managing patient records and care items in multiple cloud based medical record systems such as Elation Health, Epic, Sutter Link and MedLink.

Medical Support

  • Setting up and resetting examination rooms, injections, blood draws, procedure set up and breakdown, in office procedure assistance.
  • Assist with patient intake, including obtaining comprehensive medical histories and vitals.
  • Insurance pre-authorizations, prescription management and delivery, and surgical coordination and scheduling.
  • Support healthcare providers during patient examinations, procedures, and consultations.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications relevant to men's health.
  • Conduct basic lab tests and prepare specimens for outside labs as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with health regulations and practice policies.
  • Help manage inventory and medical supplies to ensure the practice runs smoothly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all patients.

Skills & Characteristics Required

  • You must be professional, presentable, charming, and well-spoken in order to effectively interact with our sophisticated patients and manage the intricate details necessary to create a bespoke cake experience.
  • Solid organizational skills and strong computer skills are required, as you will be required to establish, implement and monitor systems for service and care while managing operational aspects of the clinic.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, able to draft patient communications using proper grammar written in professional language.
  • Warm, “helper-giver” personality who aims to please.
  • Obsessed with details and operational efficiency.
  • Creative, resourceful and strategic in thinking.
  • You are a self-motivated individual who is a leader and motivator by nature. Graceful communication and personal skills are a MUST in order to effectively interact with our prominent patients on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred.
  • Maintain a current Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) or higher license.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, preferably in a concierge or primary care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of men's health issues and related procedures is not required but would be considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
  • Ability to multitask, work efficiently, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
