Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview
Michigan Primary Care Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The Medical Assistant plays an important role in supporting providers and ensuring patients receive efficient, high-quality care. This position is responsible for assisting with patient rooming, documentation in the electronic medical record, clinical procedures, and patient education while maintaining a professional and patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting while collaborating with providers and staff to support excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and prepare them for examination by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, and patient concerns in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, provider instructions, and follow-up care in the EMR
  • Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications, treatments, and care plans
  • Assist with coordination of care, including scheduling follow-up appointments and communicating provider recommendations
  • Follow clinic policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
  • Support quality improvement measures and clinical workflows within the practice
  • Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and staff
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations

Pay: $18.38 - $25.00 per hour
