Certified Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting healthcare professionals, and ensuring efficient operations within our medical facility. Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and assisting them as needed.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Perform basic life support (BLS) as necessary during emergencies.
  • Support inpatient care by coordinating with nursing staff and other medical personnel.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patient service.
  • Assist in the management of medical-surgical, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and internal medicine cases.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with medical practices.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
  • Experience in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) or similar settings is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic life support techniques.
  • Strong understanding of patient care protocols in various medical specialties including internal medicine and emergency medicine.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
