Certified Medical Assistant

**Job Overview:**

We are a small business in Overland Park, Kansas and opened our business 9 years ago. Dr. Davis has been in practice for 21 years. We do a mix of wound care, surgery and seeing patients in clinic. Our goal is to provide excellent medical care to our patients, so, attention to detail is a must for this job. This is a small office- it is also important that you are a team player and are willing to jump in wherever we need help. We work from 8 to 5 Monday through Thursday and Fridays from 8 until 2 pm.

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient patient care delivery and smooth clinic operations.

**Responsibilities:**

- Perform basic clinical tasks under the supervision of a physician

- Assist in patient intake, including measuring vital signs and documenting medical histories

- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization

-assist with minor office procedures

-maintain medical supplies and assist with ordering

-sending out cultures to appropriate labs

-scheduling surgeries and post op visits

- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general health topics

- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information

**Qualifications:**

- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program

- Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills

- Knowledge of medical administrative support tasks

- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred

- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and be able to do foot X-Rays

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
