Responsibilities
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring all clinical activities run seamlessly. Prepare patients for their appointments by taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly and confidently. Collect laboratory specimens, perform basic diagnostic tests, and manage specimen labeling with precision. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and processing insurance documentation. Ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies to promote a safe environment. Respond promptly to patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service that makes every individual feel valued.
Experience
Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical support role is highly preferred. Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required; ongoing education or additional certifications in phlebotomy or EKG are advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, basic laboratory procedures, and electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically to diverse patients. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding patient care and supporting healthcare teams.
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
