Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings including Orthopedics and Spine. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Computer skills especially with EMR is a must. Prior medical assistant experience is a plus. Prior orthopedic or spine experience is a plus. Hourly rate. Non-corporate, friendly work environment!

**This job requires at least 1 day a week travel to our Saint Louis Midtown clinic**

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.

Experience

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in Orthopedics or Spine, is preferred.
• Spine Surgery Scheduling
• Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and protocols is advantageous.
• Proficient understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge is essential.
