General
- Provide compassionate, safe, competent care of patient and their families as directed by the physician. Maintain a good communication and working relationship with co-workers and referring providers and their staff. Document all interactions regarding patients in the nursing notes in charts. Place electronic prescriptions per physician orders.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information
- Prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and independently in a fast-paced/continuously changing environment.
- Competency in working within a healthcare EMR system
- Team player that will contribute to a professional and fun environment
- Greet patients into the practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in person.
- Administer approved medications under provider’s direction.
- Assist in schedule and coordinate patient appointments as directed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, free of clutter.
- Maintain clean exam rooms as well as stock and prepare exam rooms
- Complete all documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient’s care.
- Follow established policy and procedures related to the position.
- Participate and contribute in a team-based environment.
- Follow OSHA/WISHA (including usage of PPE) guidelines regarding bio-hazard waste and non-biohazard waste. Also follow all HIPAA Guidelines
Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Current WA state certified MA license
- Diploma from accredited MA program
- Current CPR/ and or BLS certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous priorities at once
- 2 year of clinical experience required
- Positive professional attitude at all times
Experience:
- Certified Medical Assisting: 2 year minimum in clinical setting (required)
- Radiation therapy experience preferred but not required
Additional Responsibilities:
The medical assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with back office duties in the outpatient management of cancer patients needing radiation treatment. The medical assistant functions as primary clinical assistant under direction of the physician. Adheres to and exhibits our Core Values of Accountability, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
