Duties

• Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
• Assist providers with clinical tasks like medication administration, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) during emergency situations.
• Support physicians by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing inventory of medical supplies.
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans.
• Conduct basic procedures such as EKGs, urinalysis, ear lavages, etc.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.

Experience

• Bilingual, English and Spanish required.
• Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant. Primary care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist with procedures such as medication administration.
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation and billing purposes; familiarity with ICD coding is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately in diverse populations including geriatric (geriatrics).

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
