Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate bilingual Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Support clinical procedures such as medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support techniques.
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information accurately and securely.
- Perform ICD coding and assist with documentation related to diagnoses and treatment plans to ensure compliance and billing accuracy.
- Conduct specimen collection, perform basic laboratory tests, and assist with in-office diagnostics like ultrasound or other imaging modalities.
- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance details, and managing patient flow within outpatient or inpatient settings including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers.
- Support emergency medicine situations in urgent care or hospital environments such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) or Geriatrics units.
- Assist with inpatient care activities in hospital settings, including vital signs monitoring and medication administration under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to safety protocols; assist in X-ray procedures or OR (Operating Room) support when needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ICD coding practices.
- Experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers or outpatient clinics with exposure to emergency medicine environments.
- Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient record management.
- Ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, medication administration, and basic life support confidently.
- Proven experience supporting inpatient units such as Geriatrics or PICU as well as outpatient settings including internal medicine clinics.
- Knowledge of hospital experience protocols including Level I Trauma Center standards and Level II trauma center procedures.
- Skilled in assisting with diagnostic imaging like X-ray or ultrasound procedures; capable of supporting OR activities when required.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations across age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
