Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and possess knowledge in various medical fields, including rheumatology and internal medicine. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care within a office setting, ensuring that patients receive the best possible assistance during their visits. Hours Mon-Thurs 7:45 am-4:30pm Friday 7:45am-3:30pm
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in a office settings.
- Accurately document patient histories and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Administer injections
- Intake/prior authorizations for injection drugs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic medical records
- Familiarity with internal medicine practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
