Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various medical settings. This role requires a strong foundation in medical procedures, administrative support, and patient service, with experience in specialties such as Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Pulmonary. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations and delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Duties

• Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures in outpatient settings.
• Perform EKGs
• Operate EHR systems to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans securely.
• Prepare/stock examination rooms for normal every day use and for procedures such as in-office minor surgeries.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and health maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to emergency medicine or trauma centers preferred
• Hands-on knowledge of dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, or medical-surgical units is highly desirable
• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in medical terminology essential for accurate documentation
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required, pulmonary experience a plus
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and treatment support

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
