Job Description

We are seeking a medical assistant to join our team and support the physician in delivering top-tier preventative care. The ideal candidate is friendly and outgoing, organized, compassionate, and committed to improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

-Greet patients, answer phones, collect insurance information, handle patient referrals and prior authorizations, obtain medical records, chart preparation

-Ensure compliance with medical protocols and office policies

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EHR)

-Educate patients on wellness, preventative care and lifestyle modifications

(Assist provider with patient exams, procedures and preventative screenings

obtain and record patient vitals, history, and other relevant health data

administer vaccinations and perform basic lab tests as needed)

Qualifications

-Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred

-Previous experience in primary care or preventative medicine

-Phlebotomy license required

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-State of Nevada Office Assistant certification a plus

-Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR- Athena a plus), Word, Excel,

-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

-Passion for patient care and preventative health
