Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing essential support in both outpatient and internal medicine settings. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations, particularly within a Level I or Level II trauma center.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and preparing patients for X-rays.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with coding for billing purposes.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Support the healthcare team in managing outpatient services effectively.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in working within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment.
- Experience with X-ray procedures is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical coding practices.
- Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of internal medicine principles and practices.
- Solid foundation in anatomy and physiology knowledge to support clinical tasks.
- Ability to perform inhalation therapy techniques as needed.
