Certified Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in a dynamic float position. This role is designed for an individual who is comfortable working in both clinical and administrative settings, providing comprehensive support to ensure efficient daily operations and high-quality patient care. As a medical assistant in our practice you will be responsible for assisting providers with direct patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing EKG's, drawing blood, preparing examination rooms, and submitting medication prior authorizations. In addition to clinical responsibilities, this position will also support front desk operations such as scheduling appointments, submitting insurance referrals, and managing patient communications.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake, including collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
• Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to support accurate diagnoses.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout outpatient and inpatient visits.
• Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans clearly and securely.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, completing medication authorizations, and referrals

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
