Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform clinical tasks such as drawing blood and assisting with minor procedures in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Support medical documentation by accurately updating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with patient information.
- Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilization processes, and maintain cleanliness of clinical areas to meet infection control standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, medical-surgical care, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine practices.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations.
- Familiarity with anatomy and physiology principles relevant to inpatient and outpatient care scenarios.
- Ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, and basic procedures confidently.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to support specialty care environments effectively.
