Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in our specialty OB/GYN office. This position requires a strong understanding of our medical procedures and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for patients.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and equipped.
• Take patient histories and vital signs accurately.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by our Providers.
• Manage and interpret patient records efficiently.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Provide basic patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care, as directed by our Providers.
• Demands a patient, adaptable, and collaborative approach to engage with our staff and patients alike, in a busy office that cares for a high volume of patients each day.

Experience
Candidates preferably should possess experience or familiarity with one or more of the following areas:

• Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Medical-surgical environments
• Patient service excellence
• Relevant outpatient procedural care settings
• ICD-10 and CPT code knowledge
• Electronic Medical Records system familiarity
