Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within a fast-paced medical environment. Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, administering medications, and conducting intake assessments.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and coding standards such as ICD coding.
• Provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling correspondence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and hospitals.
• Support patients through education on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment in accordance with health regulations.
• Participate in emergency procedures when necessary, utilizing basic life support skills.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Program from an accredited program is recommended.
• Collecting patient specimens.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management.
• Strong skills in patient care with an emphasis on service excellence and empathy towards patients of all ages including geriatrics and pediatrics (PICU).
• Understanding of medication administration protocols and vital sign monitoring.
• Experience in outpatient or medical-surgical settings is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
