Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and empathic individual to work as a Certified Medical Assistant in our Privately Owned Dermatology Practice.

This position will be Procedure heavy, with the right candidate using their hands on assisting skills during outpatient surgery. Other duties include general CMA duties such as Rooming, Vital Signs, Scribing, Suture Removal, Patient Counseling, Sterilization and Wound Care.

We are a local Practice with 4 Clinicians who greatly value highly personalized care of our patients. Our patients are deeply invested in our office and forge meaningful relationships with all our team.

Staff have found this to be a highly satisfying position where they were able to have a lot of autonomy, build close long term relationships with patients and learn new skills. Prior exposure to outpatient surgery would be an advantage but not a requirement.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical office software is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and office practices.
