Certified Medical Assistant – Surgical Practice

Locations: Dallas & Plano, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Work Location: In Person

We are a fast-paced and growing surgical practice seeking experienced and dependable Certified Medical Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask efficiently, and comfortable working in a busy surgical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and assist with patient care
• Perform suture/staple removal and wound care/dressing changes
• Assist physicians with in-office minor surgical procedures
• Prepare and clean examination rooms between patients
• Maintain sterile technique and proper instrument sterilization
• Clean and sterilize instruments
• Manage medical supply inventory and ordering
• Handle high-volume phone triage, including:
• Post-operative questions
• Acute patient concerns
• Coordination of patient care
• Document accurately in EMR systems
• Travel to other office locations as needed for coverage and support

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (required)
• Previous experience in a surgical office required
• Strong understanding of:
• Sterile technique
• Medical terminology
• Anatomy and physiology
• Instrument cleaning and sterilization
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices when needed
