Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for high volume Urgent Care Clinic. Candidate must have strong multitasking skills, excellent patient communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Candidate must be proficient in EKG's, X-ray imaging and phlebotomy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision and professionalism
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process
- Support physicians and nurses during medical procedures including X-ray imaging, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) protocols
- Manage clinical documentation with accuracy, including ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), anatomy references, and physiology details
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws for labs, splinting, injections and medication administration.
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and radiation safety standards
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient assessments
- Experience working in urgent care, or emergency medicine
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, medication administration, X-ray assistance, and intake procedures efficiently
- Excellent patient service skills with a caring attitude that promotes trust and comfort
- Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing process

This position requires a dependable indiviudal who can maintain consistent attendance, adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and perform clinical tasks with accuracy and professionalism.
New hires begin with a 90 day probationary period, during which attendance, reliability, clinical performance and workflow efficiency will be evaluated.
Only qualified candidates will be considered. Salary is negotiable for suitable candidate.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
