Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic Occupational Health team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our clients, focusing on on-site drug testing, DOT physicals, and wellness injections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site drug testing, including specimen collection, handling, and documentation
• Assist with DOT physicals, ensuring compliance with federal regulations
• Administer wellness injections, such as flu shots and other vaccinations
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records

· Perform blood draws for various occupational health tests and screenings

• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and stock of necessary supplies
• Assist with other medical tasks as needed, such as vital signs measurement and patient education
• Take call after hours on a rotating basis to provide support and guidance to clients and ensure timely response to their needs
• Travel to client sites to perform on-site testing, physicals, and other occupational health services as required

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in an occupational health setting
• Proficient in collecting and handling specimens for drug testing
• Knowledge of DOT physical requirements and procedures
• Experience with administering injections and vaccinations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work after hours and take call on a rotating basis
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on-site visits
