We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Assistant with a positive attitude and strong clinical skills to join our healthcare team.

The ideal candidate must have experience in the healthcare field, be comfortable performing phlebotomy (blood draw required), and able to support front desk duties when needed.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure smooth administrative workflows within various medical settings. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality healthcare services across outpatient clinics, hospital units, and specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and internal medicine. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and overall clinic efficiency.

Duties

  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, recording vital signs, and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines or other diagnostic tools
  • Support physicians and nurses with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) procedures
  • Conduct routine assessments including physiology and anatomy knowledge to support diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Perform ICD coding for diagnoses to ensure proper documentation and billing processes
  • Manage patient flow in outpatient and inpatient settings, including Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma centers
  • Assist with emergency medicine procedures, triage in urgent care environments, and support hospital medicine teams in various departments
  • Support medical administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, patient education, and documentation of procedures in EHR systems

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program with current certification required
  • Proven experience in blood draw, settings preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols
  • Familiarity with outpatient clinics and medical-surgical units across diverse specialties including internal medicine and geriatrics
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, specimen collection, , and basic patient assessments
  • Strong communication skills to provide excellent patient service and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and data management
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or advanced clinical skills are a plus

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
