Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This position is scheduled from 7 AM to 3 PM, offering a consistent daytime schedule that supports work-life balance. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting clinical operations across various specialties, including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and hospital medicine. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient interactions. Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and verifying insurance information
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature with precision
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient clinics or hospital settings
• Document patient encounters accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with ICD coding standards
• Assist with specimen collection, wound care, and other clinical tasks related to dermatology, geriatrics, or internal medicine cases
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for inpatient and outpatient areas

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic pharmacology
• Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and coding purposes
• Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate billing and record-keeping
• Ability to perform vital signs collection and patient assessments efficiently in outpatient or inpatient settings
• Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures including Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and emergency response protocols
• Experience supporting diverse specialties such as dermatology, urgent care, internal medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or medical-surgical units
